Music Got Me Through My Mess

By Jimmy Meadows III

It is hard to believe that 17 years of my life have gone by. When I think about how good God has been, I can't afford not to give Him praise.

I have been through my share of trials and my share of tribulations. As some may know, my father left my family I when I was young. Those that knew the whole story understand that it was a hard hit for me (but it didn't knock me out). Without God and my love for gospel music, I wouldn't have made it.

I mean, there were times where I thought I was all alone and by myself. While I was alone I began to have a passion for God and a passion for His music. The reason I bring up music is because that's really how I got through my mess. I honestly believe that if I didn't go through what I went through, I wouldn't be where I'm at!

Look at me now! I am one of the two directors of my gospel choir at school, I am in my word more than before!

Thanks to my God and a loving mother who has been by my side since 4:58 pm July 1, 1988! I don't know what I'd do w/o her!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thank God for all He has done and what He's going to do. It's not about me, but about Him. Let God be God ya'll and watch Him work!!!!!
